The boat was lifted llate last week to facilitate some desperately needed maintenance.
The boat was in need of an antifoul as it ws growing a reef on a weekly basis and beginning to affect performance!. Yesterday she was polished and prep’d ready for paint which was booked in for midday today. When lifted a small crack in the rudder was found to be much worse than thought and some repair works have also been scheduled this week. With fingers crossed the boat should be back in the water in time for Saturdays race.
Also reinstalling the radio earth for us..... For those that don’t know this was “cleaned off” the bottom off the boat a couple of months ago when one of our crew got a little overzealous scrubbing the bottom of the boat.
